Molly, you know your colors, inside and out! Last night you were playing a game with me that required me to name colors of markers you brought in to me. I purposely got a few wrong, and each time I did, you would look at me and say, "No, Mommy!" with a huge smile on your face. I am so proud of how quickly you are learning things. You love to teach others what you've learned and I just love it!

We've been spending a lot of time practicing saying all of your letter sounds in your words. You can correctly say Silly, Sarah, Soup, and Tickle! You have a hard time with words that start with S or T. I am so happy when you slow down and articulate the sounds in your words. I am confident that you will grasp them and take off running soon enough! Although, I must admit, I do love to hear you ask me to "nuggle you," or when you call Meme to "heep over for a yumber party!" You are so special to me, you little munchkin. Don't ever change :)

January 23, 2010

Last night you slept over at Grandma and Grandpa's house while I took Daddy out for his birthday. When we came this morning to pick you up, you got a huge smile on your face and ran to me. For the following twenty minutes or so, you let me hold you and snuggle you while your rested your head on my shoulder. I love those tender moments where you slip back into baby mode and let me indulge in some snuggles! It seems that you are growing by leaps and bounds each day, and my little baby, who, just two and a half short years ago fit in one hand, is becoming a young lady. Thank you for those moments when I get to baby you. I just love you!

Picture Update!

I have so many pictures of you, Miss Molly Moo, that although I didn't write about each event, I want to upload the pictures to always remember them. These are some of my most favorite "Molly Moments!"

We went to Niagra Falls in the Spring of 2009. You loved it!

This picture was taken after you so proudly applied lipstick. What we didn't realize at the time was that it was actually lip stain and you had this mustache for the next four days!

Although you are normally a very good girl, you do find yourself in the time out corner every now and then...

Movie and popcorn with a special sister!

The box is always much more fun than what comes in it!

Boarding the Polar Express! December 2009

This picture truly captures your admiration for your big sister. You just love her!

Dress up day! You even did your own hair! So pretty!

January 7, 2010

Well, we've made it to the year 2010! I know that you probably won't see what a huge accomplishment this is, but I feel so blessed to have made it here with you. We spent New Year's Eve at Meme and Papa's house, partying all night long! You had a blast hanging out with your sister and staying up late! I think you ate a million pieces of the Chex Muddy Buddy mix that you helped me make. I assume all that chocolate and powdered sugar was to blame for your inability to fall asleep even as the clock struck 2 a.m.
Since New Year's, things have sort of gone back to normal. I have gone back to work with my big kids...you ask every morning if you can come with me. It breaks my heart to have to leave you, but I know that your day will be filled with adventures with your Daddy!

Today after school, I came home to find all three of you (Daddy, Sarah, and you) having a huge pillow fight in the family room. The intensity that you all hit each other with made me nervous, and I had to walk away! I cannot believe how fast you are growing and how strong that little body of yours is. You still have the most infectious laugh and smile, and although you do whine sometimes, it's that smile that I see most often.

We are now completely done with diapers- you have a few accidents at night, but for the most part, we are a diaper free family! I am so proud of how big you are getting! You love to do learning activities with me - today we spent an hour saying our ABC's and the sounds that go with each letter. Although you can't articulate all of the sounds within your speech, you can identify the letters and the corresponding sounds. I love the way that you sound out words..."ssss" "hay ya" is how you sound out Sarah. I know that your little mind is working hard, and I am confident that you will get it in your own time. Until then, I am enjoying every minute of the indescribable pleasure you bring to my life.
